pibach: Gilles, what is meant by “standard package versus installer package”? That linked nvflash-installer is not the nvflash itself, right? What does the nvflash installer exactly do? Does it downloads nvflash from official Nvidia sources? Then I would suggest to write:
Without any clear usage and redistribution license, nvflash cannot be distributed as a standard package. But to simplify the install process an nvflash-installer is available that downloads nvflash from official Nvidia sources, installs, and configures it. The nvflash-installer package is available from here: http://share.grandou.net/debian/nvflash
And probably better rename that nvflash-installer. Still not clear to me is what happens in case of updates. I think one has to check for installer update and nvflash update manually, right? So what is the overall benefit?
